Re: Why Battle.net 2.0 Needs a Subscription (Source)
When a player buys the StarCraft II box at retail, they will have the ability to play on the new Battle.net for free.
For those listening to the latest Activision Blizzard conference call, Mike Morhaime also mentions it there as well.
From now on 3DArmory.com, we’ll post articles, tool reviews on WOW Machinima. The very first tool we gonna review is the WOWNima MPQ Extractor from http://www.wownima.com.
WOWNima MPQ Extractor is a WOTLK compatible extractor for your Machinima needs. If you’re already on the machinima scene, sure you’re already aware that Blizzard had changed MPQ file structure with WOTLK expansion which rendered most MPQ tools unusable. Though, WOWNima extractor is WOTLK (patch 3.0.9+) compatible.
Download it from: http://www.wownima.com/downloads/wownima_extractor-0.1.zip
Installation
Just download the zip file above, extract and run the setup.
The Program
When you run the program, you’ll see a screen similar to this:
The program will try to locate your World of Warcraft folder or ask you so and then will list you the avaible MPQs. From the MPQ list, select the ones that you want to be extracted. There’re progress indicators on the bottom and finaly you’ll get the extracted contents.
We’ve also created a sub-forum for Machinima discussions and WOWnima extractor questions avaible over http://forums.battlearmory.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29
PTR 3.2 will be here “soon enough” (Source)
We do not plan to release any animations of the new form art, but the test realms will be coming soon enough so everyone can play around with them.
Allowing rerolls to start at level 55 (Source)
We’ve seen requests to add a /level or similar feature before. I can tell you, this is not something we have plans to implement currently, or in the near future. We believe that there is still value and entertainment to be had in the various Terrestrial Azerothian zones.
Check out the new Ulduar Bosstiary.
New Druid Art: Night Elf Cat Form (Source)
Today we bring you a final look at the new art for druids coming in the next major content patch. You can check out the full preview, along with a first look at the textures available for night elf cats. http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/underdev/druidforms.html#necat
New Druid Art: Color Associations (Source)
Now that everyone has had a chance to check out the new art for druid cat and bear forms, we’d like to share with you the current break down of tauren skin tones and night elf hair colors associated with each form color. Please note that, while we have attempted to associate each form color as carefully as possible, this list is subject to change before the next major content patch goes live.
All options for skin tone (tauren) and hair color (night elves) are listed below followed by the forms that will be associated with each set of tones/colors. Listed in parentheses after each form color is the placement in which you’ll find that form in the screen shots found here in our “Updated Druid Forms Coming Soon” preview: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/druid-forms.html
Mobile Authenticator Available In Europe! (Source)
We’re happy to announce that the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator (http://eu.battle.net/bma/), an extension of the same concept behind our Blizzard Authenticator, is now available in Europe.
An authenticator generates a one-time password, which you use in addition to an account ID and password to log in to World of Warcraft and other Blizzard Entertainment services. The Battle.net Mobile Authenticator performs this function for the recently launched Battle.net accounts — only instead of a physical token, the application exists on your mobile phone for easy access.
The Battle.net Mobile Authenticator is now available as a free download for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch from the Apple App Store:
http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=306862897&mt=8
Versions for other mobile phones are also in the works for the future. Please visit the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator FAQ for more information, or head to the setup page (http://eu.battle.net/bma/) to get started after you’ve downloaded the application.

So you may be aware that, things have been quiet in last few days over here. We’ve been working on for opensocial widget integration for the iGoogle (still not avaible on iGoogle but will be soon). The best part is today a new platform for Massive Multiplayer Online games has came alive, the AvatarsUnited, that’s a facebook-style platform but designed for MMO games. We’ve been working with our kind friends over http://www.avatarsunited.com together in order to create applications based on 3DArmory.com API and in last few day’s we’ve finished the work.
So, please redirect your browsers to http://www.avatarsunited.com, create your World of Warcraft profile and don’t forget to add your 3D toons on your profile over there!

Chinatechnews.com reports
According to information from Shanghai’s court website, Chinese online game operator The9 is targeting the American game developer Blizzard Entertainment in two lawsuits which involve property loss compensation and commercial defamation, respectively.
While the court’s website at Hshfy.sh.cn shows the cases will soon be heard, and a representative from The9 has confirmed the news to local media, the representative also states the company does not allow further commenting on this issue.
Public information shows that the property loss compensation lawsuit has been accepted by Shanghai Pudong People’s Court and will be heard at 13:45 on June 18, 2009. The commercial defamation lawsuit has been accepted by Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People’s Court and will be heard at 14:00 on July 18, 2009.
In April this year, Blizzard Entertainment announced that it would not renew its operating contract on the World of Warcraft game with The9. Instead, the company is planning to cooperate with another Chinese online game operator, NetEase.com. Because the revenue from World of Warcraft accounts for a major part of The9’s total revenue, the termination of cooperation between Blizzard Entertainment and The9 will potentially bring a great negative impact to The9.
